APPA pays for damage or injury you cause to other people — their car, their property, their health — up to the statutory limits below. It does not repair your own vehicle; if you want that covered too, arrange separate cover before you travel.
Unlike UK insurance, the price isn't affected by your No Claims Discount, age, or claims record. It's a flat statutory rate based only on the vehicle type and how many days of cover you choose.
When you buy it, you enter the car's registration number and VIN, plus the driver's licence details exactly as they appear on the documents — that's what gets checked at the border or in the event of an accident.
Up to 30,000 GEL per injured third party for health or life-threatening injury (15,000 GEL for a lesser health injury), capped at 300,000 GEL total for one insured event.
Up to 25,000 GEL per affected third party for property damage — their car, a wall, a fence — capped at 50,000 GEL total for one insured event.
It does not cover damage to your own vehicle, your own medical treatment, or your belongings. Travel medical insurance is a separate, legally required policy since January 2026; cover for your own vehicle is optional and bought separately if you want it.
Cover is valid across the whole of Georgia for the exact duration you select — it does not pause or extend automatically once it starts.
