Entry is free, but the funicular, cable car and rides are all paid with a rechargeable Mtatsminda Park card sold at the box offices (you can also top it up online at register.park.ge). Ride prices change, so check them at the ticket desk. Rides depend on weather — on windy or rainy days some may be closed. If you are driving, the road up via Okrokana avoids the queue at the funicular's lower station.

Mtatsminda Park sits on Mount Mtatsminda above central Tbilisi and is one of the city's best-known sights. At about 770 m it is the highest point in Tbilisi, with a wide panorama over the city, walking paths, cafés, around 60 rides and play areas, and the landmark Ferris wheel. Entry to the park itself is free. You can drive up (about 7.5 km, 12–15 minutes from the centre along the Tbilisi–Okrokana road), take the historic funicular from Chonkadze Street — running since 1905, 501 m long, about 3 minutes — or ride the cable car from 52 Rustaveli Avenue in 5 minutes. That makes it easy to fit into even a one-day stop in Tbilisi. It is a good stop for families, couples and anyone driving through Georgia who wants a few hours' break without leaving the city. Come shortly before sunset to see Tbilisi in daylight and then with its evening lights.
