Three border crossings
Bagratashen–Sadakhlo, Bavra–Ninotsminda and Gogavan–Guguti are international road crossings between Armenia and Georgia. Check access and operating conditions before departure.
Travel distance and time between Yerevan and Tbilisi depend on the route and border conditions. Your Armenian APPA does not work in Georgia: every Armenian-plated car needs Georgian compulsory insurance from the moment it enters. Buy it online before the trip and cross without stopping at the kiosks.

Armenian compulsory insurance covers you only inside Armenia, and Georgia is not part of the international Green Card system. From the first meter on Georgian soil your car must carry Georgian compulsory insurance — driving without it can lead to an administrative fine of 100–200 GEL.
Since January 1, 2026, most foreign visitors entering Georgia need travel medical insurance for the whole stay. Certain categories are exempt under Georgian law. Add it to the same checkout when it applies to your trip.

Choose the cover that fits you. Prices are per policy.
Check local availability and payment methods before relying on a border kiosk. You can arrange your policy online before departure and keep the issued document for your journey.
Compare the current prices for your vehicle category and the dates of your planned trips. An annual policy may suit repeated visits, but savings depend on the actual prices and coverage you need.
